Day 1, Arrive-Leh: . The spectacular, one-hour,
mountain flight over the mighty Himalayas brings you
to Leh, the capital of the ancient Buddhist kingdom
of Ladakh. Transfer to Ladakhi style hotel. A day
of complete rest to acclimatize to the arid high altitude
of Leh (3100 mts). Dinner and overnight in the hotel.
Day 2, Leh: After breakfast time free for
further acclimatization. Afternoon set off on a half-day
sightseeing trip to the 200 years old Shankar monastery,
which contains a plethora of impressive images, wall
paintings and a huge statue of Aloketesvara - with
1000 arm & heads. Next stop is the Japanese built
peace Pagoda (Shanti Stupa); crowned with a massive
dome, this stupa is a reminiscent of Nalanda and Rajgir
stupas. Return to hotel for overnight.
Day 3, Leh - Tso-Morari(7 hrs. drive): After
breakfast, drive to Tso-Morari lakes. Stay overnight
in tents, all meals will be provided this night. Explore
The lake which is breeding grounds for numerous birds,
the views of the Snow capped mountains are fabulous.
Dinner and overnight in Tents.
Day 4, Tso-Morari- Leh: After breakfast time
to Visit Karzok monastery and villages, supposed to
be the highest village in the world! Drive back to
Leh for overnight in hotel.
Day 5, Leh- Khurdungla Top and Back: After
early breakfast, drive to Khardungla Pass (5600m.),
the highest motor able pass in the world. The views
from the top are spectacular; extending, to the south,
across the Indus Valley to the seemingly endless peaks
and ridges of the Zanskar range. To the north, the
views of the mighty peaks of the Saser Massif are
amazing. After a short photo section we drive back
to Leh. Afternoon free. Overnight in hotel.
Day 6, Leh-Sightseeing: After breakfast we
take a full days sightseeing to Alchi monastery, driving
along the mighty Indus river, visit Alchi monastery
which is famous for Kashmiri style carving, on our
return to Leh we will visit to Lakir and Thiksey monastery.
Overnight in hotel.
Day 7, Departure: Early morning transfer to
the airport for your return flight to Delhi.
