India Camel Safari
Duration: 9 Nights / 10 Days
A camp fire under the stars, which
hang large and brilliant in the sky. The stillness
of the night hides the overriding features of the
Thar Desert that is primieval, savage, lonely. By
day its monotonous regularity lies broken only by
occasional groups of colorful people and welcoming
villages, remnants of wayside forts and palaces, each
with a story of past chivalry and glory of the Rajput
era.
DAY 01: ARRIVE
DELHI
Arrive Delhi. Upon arrival in Delhi met and transferred
to your hotel Oberoi Maidens for one night. Afternoon
enjoy a sightseeing tour of the Old and New Delhi.
Overnight at the hotel.
DAY 02: DELHI/JODHPUR
Morning transfer to the Delhi airport in time to connect
your flight to flight to Jodhpur. Upon arrival in
Jodhpur, met and transferred to your hotel Ajit Bhawan
Palace for one night. Afternoon enjoy a sightseeing
tour of the Jodhpur city. Overnight at the hotel.
DAY 03: JODHPUR/SATAYA
Morning depart by surface to Sataya (6 hours). Meet
the Camels and drivers. Overnight at the Camp at Sataya.
DAY 04: SATAYA/TADANA
Morning 18 Kms of Camel ride to Tadana. Overnight
camp at Tadana.
DAY 05: TADANA/MOHANGARH
Morning 38 Kms camel ride to Mohangarh. Overnight
camp at the Mohangarh.
DAY 06: MOHANGARH/KALADUNGRI
Morning 28 Kms camel ride to Kaladungri. Overnight
camp at Kaladungri.
DAY 07: KALADUNGRI/JAISALMER
Camel ride to the Majestic desert city of Jaisalmer.
Upon arrival in Jaisalmer, check into your hotel or
bandh Palace for one night. Overnight at the Hotel.
DAY 08: JAISALMER/JODHPUR
Morning enjoy a sightseeing tour of the Jaisalmer
city. Evening transfer to the Jaisalmer rail terminal
in time to connect your overnight train to Jodhpur.
DAY 09: JODHPUR/DELHI
Upon arrival in Jodhpur met and transferred to the
airport in time to connect your flight to Delhi. Upon
arrival in Delhi met and transferred to your hotel
Oberoi Maidens for one night. Overnight at the Hotel.
DAY 10: DELHI/DEPARTURE
Assisted transfer to the Indira Gandhi International
airport in time to connect your flight for onward
destination.
